Metra MDN Conductor 4:45pm

Karl is not the issue on the 4:45pm train. The disgusting, old, short, *** pyschotic, vindictive conductor at the back of the train is the problem with major issues.

Stop leering at women, no women commuter wants to engage with you.

Stop following women from car to car as they are existing the train. They are absolutely trying to get away from you.

No one wants you near them.

Soooo yeah if you could just *** off, that'd be great. Thanks champ.

Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving to Eric and to all Metra MDN conductors! Thank you for being friendly and kind!

oh ok, a little much?? hellooooooooo, shhhhhh, here is a little secret.

If you feel your conductor is not acting like a "model citizen", you can get up and leave the car you are sitting in, take a new train, or take a new train line.

Done! Problem solved.

Got on my train from Waukegan a few weeks ago. Went to sit, and there was a complete mess in one of the seats...left by the train employee. Water bottles, full and empty, his radio, taking up 3 of 4 seats in facing seats. Second time that week. I walked to another seat...then came back, took a picture, and he saw that. From that point on, it was *** ride. He told me if I didn't like it, I should go tell the conductor (opposite end of the train). After he moved some of his junk, I sat down, and he told me "You will most likely be getting put off this train at the next stop." Wait, what? I didn't smart off, I have been quietly riding for 30 years, and this little *** threatens to take me off the train? He wouldn't give me his name. I got off, immediately contacted Metra and explained what had happened. 3 days letter, I get a response: "We apologize and this is being looked into." Then nothing. So they can threaten to kick someone off the train for their being called out for littering, and then they do nothing about it. Love it. Oh, and he never did pick his garbage up from the seats.

Complete Disaster

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The BNSF is a joke. Complete shambles. I've been sitting outside union station for an hour and 45 minutes. I'm not even exaggerating, probably 75-80% of my rides this winter have been late. Many have been significantly late. It's honestly something the company should be ashamed amd embarrassed about.

This is America—- public transportation is only for bums who have nowhere to sleep—— do you think this is Europe??? No, we only have enough $$$ to develop *** weapon systems that don’t work.

Horrible

The conductor a large tall African American man...pushed people off of the 5:47pm train and shut the doors on people who were walking into the train at 5:44 pm. There were 11 people waiting to get on the train. Several people were knocking on the train doors and windows while the conductor stood there for 3 minutes until the train finally took off.

Practical joke funny at first, not anymore...

It seems that Metra cares so little that it has become a joke. The workers appear burnt out, probably from the fact that there’s so much bureaucracy and red tape that nothing ever gets accomplished/improved/fixed/etc. In the midst of delays, signal problems, spiking fares, now we also get the added bonus of a train car shortage? On the BNSF (arguably one of the busiest lines) I’m dumbfounded as to how they can have a shortage of cars when we’re already packed in like a New York subway. Even our conductors get on the loudspeaker and tell us to submit feedback to Metra! We’re all aware there’s a huge problem, but just like everything else in Chicago, all the money we pay seems to just disappear.

Garbage human beings

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The people in charge of this dumpster fire of an organization are trash and need to be fired and barred from ever working again. Better yet, just make them commute on their own trains. Then they will lose their jobs naturally due to showing up late all the time and they will suffer the anxiety and torture the rest of us endure every day.

Modified schedule because of weather???

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
You have got to be kidding me. Metra, jusr because you know at least half your staff will call off because it's cold is a very poor excuse. If I did that, I would not be employed. You should have severe penalties for employees who don't show up on their scheduled days to work, up to and including termination. The work ethic of your employees is deplorable. There are so many people out there who would be grateful to have those jobs and show up every day. It's bad enough your mechanics obviously don't do much just by the condition of the trains, e.g., no air conditioning, too hot in the winter, filthy, doors that don't work, etc. When you announce you have manpower issues, all that means is people called off. I've been riding your train for more than 38 years, and I cannot believe some of the people you employ. The men are only interested in flirting with women, and not punching the 10 rides if the women they like. I petsonally have a friend who went six months without her an 10-ride being punched once. While you're women employees are wonderful, you just don't have enough of them. They, at least, treat everyone the same. There are certain situations where employees should not be allowed to take days off. It's YOUR job to get us to work on time, and you are failing miserably. Most of us have to take earlier and earlier trains in order to get to work on time. A lot of us already have 12 hour days with our commutes, but hey, why not make 14 to 16 hours. I would also love to know how it is that you could allow employees to use every single vacation day they have just not to work on a Sunday? Those days should be mandatory and they should be suspended without pay if they don't show up for there shifts.

I care because I pay to have Metra Service. When they can't provide the service, they need to take accountability and refund fares!

Unbelievable delays

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
There have been a lot of delays in 2019. Metra took it as granted when they increased the fare last year, but when the messy comes, they don’t feel guilty. The technology is far behind, the building is too old, more and more delays happen, more higher fare they charged. The salary for the staff is much higher than the market, but metra is running inefficiently. Is there any way to audit the stupid company? It is not a company issue, it becomes the national issue.
