Arrived several times at different metra stops at the scheduled time only to find out that train left 10-15 minutes earlier. No respect for people's time.

Always late or missing. The bnsf line is a disaster, as is all of metra.
About 50% of the times I try to take it to or from work it operates extremely late, if it shows at all. Yet metra posts that the train is "on time", and when there is no train coming metra doesn't bother to tell the dozens of people waiting at the stops...metra simply sucks.

No other choice
probably the worst service you can get, but what can you do when you have no other choice. Dirty cars, rude conductors.. How are they even in business??
Metra is never on time. Always delayed atleast 10 minutes
They switching problems that are unending. Waiting on other trains is another issue.
I dont know how they can increase their customer base with this kind of service. They are treating their customer with disdain

Verified ReviewerI have a visible disability, and every time I catch the 5:10 Train to Blue Island, I have to stand half the time. Metra allows people with bicycles to take up 6 seats. There are no seats for handicap
I feel if one or two bicycles take up all the side streets, then the people with the bicycles should stand up. The conductors should even make people get up who have rotators, or canes, or senior citizens.
Preferred solution: New regulations and rules.
PTC delay on July 16
Hours of delays I got home 3 hours late and had to pitch in $25 per person for an Uber what is Metra going to do? They took away from me the ability to watch my grandson at an event I was supposed to take him to

Conductors attitude!!
Got on at BIG Timber on the 5:46AM went to the first car to my seat & the conductor said to me " what do you want? I said oh I can't sit here?
Rubbed his bald head & said no you can I just walked to the next car. I been taking this train for years!!! Why such an attitude??? If you hate your job thar much leave.
Very unprofessional. I can't help it your bold & ugly.

I got beat up by a conductor what can I do about this I did not put my hands on him I did not I try to fight with him I was talking to myself do to the fact I'm disabled and I said a word and he attacked me what can I do about this

Because Metra is a governmentally funded business it is not very diversity friendly. I would like to know how it is while a loud African-American gentlemen is on the same train car as a loud white gentleman is and yet an African-American conductor tells the white gentleman to keep it down but does not address the African-American.
Where I come from that's racism.
But I understand the government protects the African Americans. I just find it very disgraceful that we cannot be in a world where color doesn't matter.

I had got on the train on Wooddale at 4 o'clock heading to Chicago I was talking loud to myself go to the fact I'm disabled I said the N-word and the conductor attack me I was in the car 6143 and the guy just attacked me instead of kicking me out of the train I try to go to the police and Union Station in the gave me a hard time but can I go about this how do I go about this I'm disabled
Preferred solution: Compensated for my day lost and the way I was treated I feel discriminated by the metropolis and as well as the conductor and everybody else that I tried to make a complaint on this day I'm disabled I thought very discriminated by the metro police

U can't even talk to no one for your problem of helping for something I don't do. USE PUBLIC TRANS .it's a waste of time trying to call someone to help me get somewhere.

There is a worker by the name of Mr.Driver who gives me issues every time hes working & sees me. He goes out of his way to tell me I cant use my phone without headphones even though one occurrence there was no one on the train car except myself & my 2 kids.
He has also made move from a car to a completely different one because I was apparently in a quiet car, my children were both asleep and not even making noise. I told him I do not have headphones & that my phone is messed up and I cant hear people very well on a phone call without it being on speaker and placed by my ear.

It is 2021. Hope the bag is gone
To those people affected by the same unprofessional character and have never gotten justice, here is an update: I Have been contacted by the company for a hearing to determine what happens to Mr. Prune, but could not make the hearing due to busy schedule, so am currently awaiting for the next hearing to be scheduled, even if it takes waiting until the summer, I will make sure this issue gets continuously reinforced through the media, in the aurora and chicago train stations, and on the train in front of a large crowd of consumers if I were to ever see the man on the same train knowing my state of health
Have been contacted by some director of the company to reschedule a hearing date to see what happens to the evil character on the train. Am looking forward to continuously keeping contact with the company until the bag is gone
I have yet to get a call back from the director of the company to reschedule a voluntary hearing date to see what could be done about this unprofessional crone character. In the meantime, the next time I see this rude parasite on that train on ANY weekend, I will embarrass it in front of everyone because it should not be working at this company at all.
I could have actually fainted on that train during the time he was giving me a hard time and not being patient with waiting for my ticket. This is a serious issue and I will make sure that justice is served, not just for myself, but for all future consumers who have health issues and are forced to interact with an unprofessional character when technological issues surface on their mobile devices.
The crone tells a passenger he "doesn't give a *** if they faint, and when attempting to ask for the rodent's information, it tells me that it has been "working there for 30 years" and that it "cannot get fired". A report was sent to corporate regardless of the deranged views from the species

One of the train conductors who happens to be the supervisor, as shown in the picture attached to the email, in the 12:20pm train headed from Aurora to Chicago on Sunday, 12/31/2017, was very unprofessional during an attempt in requesting for my ticket.My internet connection was not working properly so I was trying to ask for additional time when waiting for the connection to adjust, and after finding out I just had to switch on my internet connection from the settings tab on my phone.Prior to doing so, the train conductor asked if I could come downstairs so he could see the ticket, but I clearly showed him the ticket from the second floor of the train that I was on and told him I was not feeling too well. The train conductor had an attitude with me by literally using the words, "I do not give a ***" after I told him I felt like I was going to faint.
This train conductor is the most unprofessional, disrespectful authority figure I have come across in your METRA services. Ive never had any issues with other train conductors. Other conductors have been patient in waiting for my internet connection to process efficiently.But the supervisor conductor, as shown in the picture below, was the most unprofessional person ever.He also told me he has been working there for years and that he can never get fired, as a way to attempt to use and take advantage of his authority status. Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution. I didn't like: Supervisor using status to use swear words against me, Crap-smelling breath from conductor, When drooling over my phone impatiently, Conductor literally telling me he cannot get fired, Because of his status.

Hope this prunebag is officially terminated as of 2021. Attached pics below so you know who this RODENT is.
Back in 2017, it cursed at me when I told it that my internet connection was not working properly when trying to show my ticket to it. I was not feeling well at the time and felt like I was going to faint, which is why I did not want to go downstairs in the first place, yet it told me to come downstairs near the train doors. After going downstairs and letting this bag use my phone, I told it that I felt like fainting, and the prune stated the words, I dont give a *** where nobody could even hear it say those words. I tried asking it for its information to make a personal complaint against it, but it refused to give me its information.
I then took a picture of the creature and reported it to corporate.
I haven't seen the species ever since. I have been invited to hearing but was too busy focusing on two degrees to make the hearings. But just in case you people see this creature lurking on the Aurora-Chicago BNSF, you will know WHO and WHAT he is.
